Why Bourne’s offices are located in the “heart of the town”.
In the general sense, the term "Main Street" refers to a place of traditional values, is the central building block of a community and is pretty much considered the “heart of the town”. With that said, it's by no coincidence that Bourne's Energy chose to locate all five of it's offices on Main Streets, or as close to it as possible. Why? Bourne's Energy has been in the fuel oil and service business since 1947, when Bob Bourne opened the doors for the first time as your community energy provider. Bourne's quickly became the name of choice for customers seeking quality products and personal, "in-the-neighborhood" service. In 1994, Bourne's Propane joined the operation - providing additional products in answer to the growing needs of our customer base. Today, Bourne's Energy is proud to offer a comprehensive roster of energy products and services, including fuel oil, propane, kerosene, biofuels and on- and off-road diesel, as well as full 24-hour heating and plumbing repair and installation services.
A Proper Balance
Bourne's has worked hard to find the proper balance between being large enough to meet all your residential and commercial heating requirements, yet small enough to care for the individual needs of our customers. Automatic delivery, year-round maintenance, budget plans, pre-buys and home-monitoring equipment are just a few of the benefits that our customers enjoy as Bourne's continues to evolve. And, through our new partnership with Hopkins Oil in Lyndonville, Bourne's is helping to meet the energy needs of an expanded community in North-Central Vermont.
Active in the Community
Locally owned and operated, Bourne's Energy takes great pride in the company's integrity and continues to be active in the community we serve. Cases in point: Bourne's special fuel delivery trucks promote Breast Cancer Awareness and the United Way. For every gallon delivered off the "pink" propane truck, Bourne's Energy contributes 1 penny to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. An additional 1/2 cent from this truck will be contributed to local cancer networks. For every gallon of fuel oil delivered off our uniquely painted United Way truck, Bourne's Energy will contribute 1 cent to the Lamoille Area and Green Mountain United Ways.

What continues to distinguish Bourne's from many of our competitors is the hands-on approach the Bournes family still takes. On any given day, you'll find Bourne's Energy under the watchful eyes of president, Peter Bourne, and his brother Mike Bourne, just as their father did over 60 years ago.
